Todays ESA Medical Cancelled with no warning

Attended for my scheduled ESA medical today emotionally distraught and extremely anxious about what is my second medical since original one back in 2011.

Arrived with my mental health support worker on time at 3:20pm for my 3:30pm appointment only to be told only 2 practitioners available to carry out examinations today. Then they said that they had tried to contact me by phone earlier during the day to suggest cancelling as there was a waiting time of over 1 hour plus before people were being seen.

My support worker takes calls allied to ATOS Medical appopintments etc and he did not receive any telephone call to this effect. For me especially today's cancellation has just set me back even further healthwise having to reattend a rescheduled afternoon appointment again on the 12th July 2013.

Why do DWP/ATOS behave the way they do aserting to me (and maybe many other people invited to atos medicals) they tried to alert me to the delay when they categorically did not phone my support worker. Are they allowed to escape recourse allied to circumstances like this?

I did not request the medical arranged for today be Recorded. As I have just a slip from the medical centre with the new appointment date/time and await a formal new appointment letter is it possible for me to request a Recording for the 12th July 2013


Apologise if this is a bit of a rant but today's events have just set me back so much.
