Questions on new ESA50 form was created by Benson
I have recently had the new ESA50 form, different to the one I had last summer. Yet again they change things. I just have a couple of questions.

1. They now ask when your last GP visit was, is there any reason for this ? Do you know if it counts against you if you haven't seen your GP in a year ? I have a 10+ year health issue and have no reason to bother my GP often anymore, at the start I almost had my own parking space. But now there is little point as I have seen all specialists.

2. Last year I used the online form to send back, which I saved. Can I copy and paste the data from that form (the parts where I write about my illness, which I wrote loads on) given that my circumstances haven't changed and all information is still relevant ? Or do they need a fresh written ESA50 ? I only had my last one about 12 months ago and nothing is different. Do they go from the last 2 forms or just the last 1 ?

Thanks.

The reason why there is a new ESA50 is that the ESA Descriptors and Regulations were changed in January 2013.

To answer your questions.

1. ATOS and the DWP may assume something in regard the last time that you saw your GP, you need to show that it is not relevant because, as you posted, you have already seen all of the Consultants and there are no on-going investigations, just treatment.

2. There is an updated electronic version of the form available.

Using The PDF Version Of The ESA50 Questionnaire

You should review the latest claim guides before doing a copy/paste from the old form, also, you should consider explaining why your condition has not improved and why you have not adapted to your condition(s).

It is very unlikely that they will review your previous ESA50's as part of this assessment, so it should always be treated as a "new" claim.
