The interviewer proceeded at ask me why I had not appealed to be put into the support group. She said I needed to ring and be asked for 'reconsideration of WRAG classification into Support Group', gave me a telephone number to call etc. She said I needed to get as much as help as possible from my doctor etc, CAB to fill out forms....... She said who ever had made the decision at my appeal had not looked at me and my situation properely and should be in the support group as I am not employable. She said there are in depth notes made at my previous job centre interview around 6 years ago, which state the same.
I rang the ESA number given this morning and was made to feel horrid, the lady that rang me back a little later was a bit kinder. I know have to approach my doctor, counsellor etc for supporting evidence to submit for my application for reconsideration.

We recommend that claimants appeal rather than ask for a Reconsideration, if you appeal a Reconsideration will be done anyway and if the Decision remains unchanged then you may save several weeks or even months in the process.
Have a look at the following for more information

You can still make a late appeal, the DWP usually accept them for ESA, this is covered in the links I posted.
