SUPPORTED PERMITTED WORK was created by Pete
I am in the ESA work group. If I want to undertake permitted work I can ( suject to conditions) do so for a period of 52 weeks. If I want to work longer term i.e. more than 52 weeks I need to be accepted into the Supported Permitted Work Group. HOWEVER, for this I need to show that I have 'the ongoing support or supervision from a professional case worker employed or engaged by a public body or voluntary organisation'.
Although this sounds straightforward, I have tried really hard to find out where to find such supervision but have drawn a blank. MIND and Mencap do not help. The local authority do not help. I do not have a CPN. The DWP have no other suggestions. Can anyone please offer any suggestions as to who I could approach?

The disability advisor at your local job centre plus is your first point of contact and they then send you on to whoever is responsible for SPW in your area
