Just reading the new ESA guides It states that in stages of an ESA assessment under section 5 Re-referral scrutiny. The ATOS doctor will review the previous medical examination report and the current ESA50. As I am already in the support group is it worth mentioning this, and that my condition has not changed. I asked my doctor for a medical report last week and he said they were not doing these supporting letters anymore do to workloads. He does support me 100% and says he will do a report for ATOS when asked.

Hi s2012,
ATOS state that each ESA50 is viewed in a standalone capacity.
They also state that the assessing HCP will not be aware of your previous ESA award.
Therefore, I would work on the premise that they will not have access to your previous ESA50 and associated documentation.
It will certainly do harm to put documentation informing them of your previous SG award, and the descriptors under which you qualified.
You will have to provide proof that your limitations have not diminished to such an extent that you no longer qualify for The SG.
It would not be enough to simply state that things have not changed.
It is all very well your G.P. saying that he will provide a report if requested. The problem is that DWP/ATOS seldom send an : ESA 113 Questionnaire to one's G.P., although they sometimes do.
Best advice, include the information on your previous SG award, and highlight how and why you feel that you still qualify.
Treat it as if they "know nothing".

When you said it will certainly do harm Did you mean it will do no harm to put documentation informing them of my support group award, and would this evidence be what was stated on the ESA85A report form.

Hi s2012,
"When you said it will certainly do harm Did you mean it will do no harm to put documentation informing them of my support group award,"
"Yes"
You could include a copy of The ESA85A, as long as you are sure that there aren't any negative aspects to it.
If you are aware which SG Descriptor/s you fulfilled, you could also cite that/those, as well as any others that you feel that you may fulfill.
