Hello, I have searched, but can't find anything. I have just received a letter telling me "We have looked at your claim again following a recent change". I presume this is the decision letter relating to my ESA50 re-assessment form sent approx 5 weeks ago. It seems very quick and I have been placed in WRAG without medical again. But I am still waiting for my appeal to be heard from my previous WRAG award last year!

After completing the GL24 I sent everything off, received acknowledgement, bundle etc I know it was lodged as I spoke to someone at the Tribunals Service who warned me that, at that time, the waiting was at least 45 weeks.

Since that appeal was lodged, my health has deteriorated significantly so I will definitely be appealing again. Is it usual for an appeal to be lodged whilst still waiting for a previous one to be heard?

I wonder if this letter IS my re-assessment award or just another letter the DWP seem to like sending regarding "recent changes" that only they know about. The heading says "change in ESA rate payable" from 13th April! I can't find a reference number on the letter.

Thanks in advance.

Hi t,

We had a couple of members last week who were similarly confused :

It is entirely possible that you have been placed into The WRAG once more, within the time scale given.

The only way to be sure would be to contact The DWP.

Although it may not be "usual" to submit and appeal regarding an adverse decision whilst awaiting a hearing for a previous appeal, it is possible and allowable.

Please keep us updated.
