IB to ESA to WRAG to Appeal to Tribunal to SG! was created by Darthcranium
Just a quick message to say be strong and don't give up.
I have gone through the hell of becoming injured and the long term worry of ESA coming to the end but have just won at Tribunal!
I went from 39 points at the ATOS exam to 75 at Tribunal!
The Tribunal was a lot fairer and less intimidating than I thought it would be, but I was still very nervous indeed.
I had support/witnesses but not representation, and had spend a long time (blood sweat tears tantrums etc) getting my evidence written down, and filed in a way that I could try to understand.
So the good news is that the ESA will continue (for the time being!) and the bad news is that I have been further judged and found to be more ill/unwell/suffering than I try to let myself believe.
I feel relieved rather than jubilant. A great weight has been lifted off my mind, for the time being at least.
The Judge has recommended that I not be medically examined for at least 24 months. We'll see.
If you're going through anything similar, be strong, and don't give up.
I can recommend a "filing box" rather than a lever arch file. I got one from Staples and while it was 11 quid it made organising all the paper much easier.

PS this website/service has helped a lot, thanks. There's way too much information out there and it's nice to have most of it in one place.

Thank you for letting us know the outcome of your appeal - and for your kind words about this site
If you want to know when to expect reassessment, no matter what the advice from the tribunal service, you can wait until you get the official notification from DWP and then phone to ask if the 'prognosis' is on the screen.

Thanks, Mrs HB!
When should I expect to hear? After a month, when the time is up for the DWP to appeal the Tribunal's decision?
OOps that's the paranoia kicking in!

Some people hear quite quickly, but I have also heard of people who are still waiting several months later! You can help the process along by sending a copy of the tribunal letter to the DWP office dealing with your claim.
