Hello all, With the current heatwave, what is considered acceptable clothing for a Tribunal appearance? Are smart khaki shorts ok?
I don't wish to show the panel any disrespect, but trousers/jeans are simply too hot to wear at the moment. Even indoors, this heat is knocking me about.

Many thanks, YT
There are no hard and fast rules about what to wear or indeed what not to wear.
The only recommendation I would make is not to wear anything that is inconsistent with what you would normally wear, especially in connection with your condition(s).
So if you normally wear, for example, elasticated clothing because you struggle to get dressed due to physical problems, then I would not recommend your turning up in a suit. If you do not care about your appearance due to mental health issues, a carefully co-ordinated outfit will not help your case.
Be aware, the panel will be considering your case from the moment you walk into the room.
