WRAG decision -appeal or write first

It is entirely up to you

You can request a Reconsideration and if the Decision is not revised make an appeal, you can appeal and a Reconsideration will be automatically be done first.

Our recommendation is to appeal, if the Decision is not revised by the DWP you will probably save at least a couple of week and maybe more, an appeal can always be withdrawn with no fault.
