Hello all

I received my application in the post today , and it's pretty lengthy , I wanna ensure I get everything correct and put down as much info as I can , as I previously was rejected DLA even with an appeal. Will I be ok following the guide on your website or shall I go to CAB and get better advice on how to fill this out ? any help would be appreciated, any hints or tips to submit the best application would be fab

Thanks in advance

Hi W,

Are you sure this is a DLA application form, and not for PIP, as from June 2013 all new claims would be for PIP, and not DLA ?:

What is the timetable for introducing personal independence payment (PIP)?

Hiya.
I suggest you read the excellent advice and information listed and download and start a dummy write up on the pdf forms and see how you get on.
I feel confident that if you read all the info provided on this site you can be well prepared to complete the form.

Many CAB will no longer help with completing ESA forms or help whatsoever due to cuts. This is the case here in West Dorset, moreover they no longer have anyone to do a home visit if someone requires one, so god help any housebound persons requiring assistance. Welfare advice centres and officers are also rather thin on the ground in locations where CAB is not available.

Hi pcm, the OP is talking about PIP, not ESA. As such, there is no pdf form (I don't think). Other than that, your points are very valid.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Yeah sorry I am talking about PIP , I want to know how to get the best out of my application , i'm so scared I'll mess up and will get declined again. I saw my specialist today who said, he see's no reason why I should not be getting PIP
