I am in the process of switching to ESA from IB I have letters from my GP ( at the time) dating back to 2002. They are for when I was turned down for DLA, and was appealing the decision. It gives all details of how my illness affects my daily living. I subsequently won the appeal and was awarded DLA indefinitely. Could I send this letter along with my ESA questionnaire? even though I have moved areas and don't have the same GP? Also I have the last PCA assessment result that I had in 2004, which awarded me to carry on incapacity benefit as I had passed the PCA. will the decision makers or Atol have this information or should I send that along as evidence too? Thank you so much for your time
Hi Jot, send in anything and everything that might help! Your previous PCA paperwork might be helpful, but you do need to remember that the ESA criteria are very different from the IB ones.
Regarding your 'old' medical evidence, you will need to show that your condition has not changed since this was written and that you have not adapted to your limitations.
