Medical records held by LEA special schools? was created by MariW
When I was first disabled, I became a student at a special school. There was probably as much communication between hospital consultants and the school and between consultants and my GP.
Local hospital records for this early period have been destroyed and there is a two-year in the records held at my GP’s surgery. Therefore, I’m wondering whether Local Educational Authorities retain their students’ records. Any idea?

I'm sorry, I have no idea whether LEAs keep student's records for any length of time. All I can suggest is that you contact yours and ask them.

Thanks, Mrs HB
I'm heading straight for Google and will get a letter in the post. Any material will be old but owing to the nature of my condition that I still think it's worth filling in the gaps I mentioned.
