Just a couple of questions if I may. I am a long term sufferer of Complex Combat Related P.T.S.D and one of my problems secondary to the P.T.S.D is I.B.S which results in uncontrollable and messy under crackers (pants) at least 3 or 4 times a week. As this is a result of my p.t.s.d there seems to be nothing they can do until my management of the P.T.S.D is in order which will not happen for a long long time. I have been given pills to make the s%&t harder but we are yet to get the right dose!! so it can bung me up for a week and then out pops a water melon and we are back where we started. Using the medication actually gave me the dreaded Farmers Jiles which I have just had removed...Now that is painful......
So looking at the P.I.P questions it does not really give me any clues as to what they want me to put. My daily life is revolved around looking for the nearest toilet..Not easy..Fortunately as I hate people I am basically a recluse so never too far from a toilet. What is the right wording for this.
Secondly I am on a number of pills and potions to suppress the need to harm myself or others. Do I need to go into graphic details as to what I am like with the pills (Zombie) and what I am like off the pills (Psycho). Sorry for rambling on. Just worried sick as I had 14 months of hell with my ESA claim and the DWP costly f$^k-up. :silly:

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

The PIP questionnaire is looking at what help you need to help you manage your conditions, rather than the fact that you have these conditions, so need to explain what assistance you need with your toilet needs, see our PIP Claim guide for more details.

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/pip

In regard your self-harming, if you feel able to, go into detail of how you are with your tablets and without, it more thane likely that those assessing you will have no first hand knowledge of this and as a consequence, may make assumptions that are not a true reflection of how you are affected.

The major problem is unless you have or have dealt with Combat Related P.T.S.D you do not have a clue.. Normal P.T.S.D is similar but far from the same and has completely different treatments. I think you are 100% right I am going to have to open all the old wounds to explain how it effects me. As for my Name..I dont need to hide... ;) but thanks for the tip..
