Income support to ESA was created by Mr Tee
I would really like to know how I deal with a situation living in North Cyprus.
I have been sent an ESA -n-50 and have been instructed to fill it in and get my Doctor to fill in his part and provide history within the last year with details of medical records. Firstly there isn't such a thing as a GP here and all medical expenses including the purchase of drugs for the conditions that I have are also purchased privately.
Firstly who is going to pay? I certainly don't and the DWP were fined after a complaint for sending my personal details to the British high commission in Lefkosa for three specialists to examine me. Contrary to the DPA 1998. This was because there wasn't any reference to myself and it was opened by the BHC.
It was agreed that I could be examined and it was paid for by DWP at that time 3 years ago. I have written to my MP and I am waiting a reply. I have sent MRI evidence and directed them to the previous assessment but the ESA-N-50 is totally incompatible with this country and is only geared to the UK. I could fill it in and give my conditions explanations but my history is in England and I have been here coming up to 10 years now. I have no idea what was said or written at my last medicals here by three specialists for continued IB. I have explained thoroughly to them how all doctors and hospitals have one subject specialisations and all have to be paid for only to be sent another letter to do it "or else"! I believe I should be treated equally under the 2010 equality act and be protected from the issue of ESAN50 forms partially filled in by DWP staff on the front in breach of the declaration as this was not me who wrote it. It was sent by post across Europe where the inside information could easily have been compromised. Any one else in this boat? How do Ideal with this?

Mr Tee

I suspect that the covering letter is badly worded.

You need to complete the ESA-N-50 in detail and return it by the required date, our guides should assist you in doing this.

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/esa

You should attach any medical evidence that you have or can acquire within the timescales, the collection of this evidence and any costs associated with it is your responsibility.

After the ESA-N-50 is received it will be reviewed by an ATOS doctor to decide whether a face to face assessment is required, if this is the case then the DWP will arrange for this to happen. They usually do this using a local doctor and the DWP will cover any costs associated costs with this. The completed report is then sent to the DWP who will a make a Decision on your claim.

It would be worth your while seeing whether any local ex-Pats clubs or organisations can assist you in regard this assessment, we can assist you with the ESA process, but not any issues that may arise in regard to your claiming benefits while abroad.

If you have more questions, please reply to this post.
