Hi
Does anyone know if cooking a frozen meal in a microwave oven is classed as being able to prepare and cook a simple meal unaided with regard to activity 1 in the PIP questionnaire?
Thanks

Hi, no. The PIP assessment for cooking is based on a person chopping, and preparing fresh food to cook, and either using a microwave or oven, hope this helps.

How is ‘’cook’ defined for personal independence payment (PIP)?
What is meant by ‘prepare’ for personal independence payment (PIP)?
What counts as a ‘simple meal’ for personal independence payment (PIP)?
