Hi Rob,
There is no reason to assume that you have done anything 'wrong' as many people need a face2face assessment for ESA. However, where many people do go 'wrong' is to concentrate more on their conditions than to the limitations caused by them. ESA is awarded according to very rigid criteria and it is possible to have been, quite correctly, claiming IB but to not be eligible for ESA
Qualifying for the WRAG
Qualifying for the Support Group
As you have been told, the assessment is not an examination as such. This FAQ will tell you what to expect. It might be carried out by a doctor, nurse, physio or midwife, all will have undergone ATOS's training and are now classed as 'experts'.
ESA Medical – What to expect
I suggest that you bookmark this page, or make it a favourite on your web browser, so that you can find it easily in future. then you can come back here to ask any further questions and we will have the advantage of everything being in one place
