DLA - are paid carers approached for evidence? was created by 25megroup
Q17 of DLA form asks for contact details of anyone who helps e.g. carer, support worker, family
There is a place to give consent for GP to be contacted, separately from place for GP contact details, but no similar provision for carers.
By providing contact details here are you leaving the door open to the DWP contacting the person(s) concerned?
This isn't necessarily about claimant being concerned at what carers might say - the carers themselves may not wish to be contacted to provide evidence, especially if they are hard pressed and lowly paid care workers

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Given how rarely the DWP approach the claimant's GP, I would not expect them to try and contact anyone else! However, you can submit statements from your carers in support of your claim if you wish.
