ESP was created by Lyn
Hi this is my first post I became a member most of my way through filling in the forms and having a medical, I scored 0 points and appealed against it and still scored 0 points so I went to CAB and they pointed out some of my answers were to short. I then looked at the start time and finish time of the medical report and the whole examination took 26 mins and the examiner said that I could sit for 30mins and stand for 4mins which left 2mins for the rest of the exam.
After all that and then going to the tribunal, which I have to say it only took about 12 minutes as I broke down and was sent home the result was good I was awarded 21 points but for what come March next year my ESP will stop. What happens then if I am not fit to work can someone help me here please.

From what you have said, I assume that you have been placed in the WRAG of ESA?

If this is the case, you are entitled to 365 days contributory benefit (this will include the assessment period if you were not transferred from another benefit, such as IB). After this time, you will be sent an ESA3 form near to the end of the paid period, this will assess your income and assetts to see if you are entitled to income-related ESA. If you live with a partner, their income, assets and working hours will also be taken into account.

12 Month Limit for ESA(CB)

Asset rule for ESA(IR)

24 hour work rule for ESA(IR)

If you are entitled to income-related ESA your payments will continue. Otherwise payments will stop and NI credits will be made to your account.

Medical reassessment is unrelated to the financial assessment. You will be subject to periodic reassessments even if not receiving payment. If you are placed in the Support Group at any stage in the future, payment would recommence.
