You are right that you can only win or lose your Tribunal and you WON
Many congratulations.
It does not happen very frequently but it just means that you case was so overwhelmingly in your favour that the panel could not arrive at any other Decision other than to award the Support Group and that is why they did not need to see you.
Once you have the Decision Notice, it may help to speed things up if you contact the DWP and arrange to send them a copy, ideally by fax, it often takes 10 days for the form to make it to the right department before they can begin to process it.

I am confused by the Gordon. Why did the Tribunal want access to the claimant's mecial records if they have already made their decision?

My assumption is belt and braces, as you say, they have already announced a Decision.
