The Colchester News is reporting that after a Review by the DWP The Claimant Job Centre in Halstead Essex is the latest to close down permanently. It called the Halstead Job Centre "an employment outreach service".(Ironic considering the messianic obessession with full employment & the work ethic). All Claimants who have appointments will henceforth have to travel 7 to 8 miles to Braintree or Sudbury,it states. This case in point begs my question, what is known about this & future ongoing scaling back of Job Centre Centres at this present time? This will affect Claimants on ESA who have to travel to WRAG appointments.?

I would guess, like most Government departments, they are trying to reduce their operating costs.
