In the Building Society the other day I noticed that a number of Claimants who hold their Benefit Payment In Accounts there and qeue up to withdraw it are in fact receiving a lot less than previously or none at all due to the restrictions and cutbacks well documented on here. What does this mean for the Banks & Buidling Societies who were formerly taking this money for granted? Reductions of Millions or £s every day coming into their coffers cannot be good for lending figures? Would the Forum have any idea of the amounts lost this year in £ millions or the eventual scale of these income reductions as a combined result of ESA withdrawls and cessation of ESA (IB).? Could this spark a major bank crisis or property lending crisis do you think?
