pip review 3 months 2 weeks ago #247235

i sent my pip review form back on 3rd jan, pip sent it to IAS on 28th jan. i have heard nothing since then. i rang pip to ask if my review will continue or be postponed due to corona, they said it will continue. i rang IAS mid march and they told me they sent it back to pip as it had enough evidence for a decision (and no assessment of any kind had been done). pip said they had not received it. so i rang IAS 2 weeks later on 30th march and this time they said it had been sent back to pip because dwp requested it. no assessment done.
i called pip on monday and pip has not received my claim back from IAS. they said nothing about it being postponed or extended, they say it is still with IAS and i will hear about a phone assessment. so i rang IAS on monday too - now they are saying that lots of claims are being recalled by dwp and mine was sent back on 29th march. but pip did not say that at all, they dont know where my claim is, as far as they are concerned my claim is still with IAS and i should be assessed. pip cannot confirm if my award will be extended (it runs out in june) and have gone off to ask IAS where it is. IAS say they sent it back to pip.......
suggestions? should i continue chasing? i dont mind waiting but i am concerned that my claim seems to be missing. tia

Hi J

In my view, with both IAS and the DWP denying they have it, I would keep chasing. It's one thing waiting to get an answer when you know where your form is, it is - quite another when it seems to have disappeared somewhere between the two organisations. That's just a personal view and obviously you can just choose to sit it out if you're still getting your money.

thanks for your reply. i will indeed keep chasing as i am concerned that my claim seems to have disappeared and no one at either organisation is saying that my award has been extended. IAS said that dwp has recalled hundreds of claims due to corona but i am seeing plenty of people online who are having telephone assessments and getting awards who sent their claims in after me. obviously benefits and work are not aware of all these recalled claims! i cannot find any others in my position so i shall pursue it.
