Benefits renewal are they still behind ? 1 month 4 weeks ago #248590

Hello I just wondered if you know if the DWP are still reviewing people on their target date. I am due to be renewed again for ESA towards the end of July and PIP at the very beginning of September. I have help with mind filling in these forms but of course you're not able to have a face-to-face with them just help over the phone. I'm feeling very apprehensive like everybody else about the next few months. Thank you

Hi Shep66

There have been no official statements as yet. Individual members have reported that they are behind and some have range to ask the status of their claims or possible renewals and have been given an answer. If you're able to, I would ring and ask.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Thank you for your reply, yes I was thinking whether I was brave enough to ring them but the thought of it fills me with dread. Regarding my esa, for the past three years they have Reveiwing me yearly, which is hard ive have seen the same benefits adviser in this time and even she said she thinks it's unfair. Re my pip it was given by tribunal in 2017 for 5 years, by that time I had waited a year for the tribunal so I've had three years of nothing and then of course they review you again inside your final year if that makes sense yeah yeah .
