Hi, I have my ESA medical later this week and I’m really beginning to stress about it. I’m currently in the support group for my mental health. I’m worrying I will answering all questions in a positive way and not show a true picture. I always crumble under pressure and the last time I had an interview at appeal
Stage they told me I never got it through the questions I answered but from what the psychiatrist’s letter said.
I get really anxious and worked up about it. If anything I feel my condition never gets a chance to get better because if It’s not my PIP then it’s my ESA! Also what should I wear, I’ve been told not to look too smart. Thanks Tullulah

You say that you will be answering all of the questions in a positive way, is this due to your conditions? How much control do you have over this?

When they asked me if the doctors surgery phoned to cancel an appointment how would I feel? My husband wanted to answer that I wouldn’t answer the phone and also I would be in my bed sleeping liken I usually do but I answered the question not really knowing what I would do and I just said it would upset. I just seem to have cotton wool in my brain and I can’t answer a question. Then I beat myself up about how hopeless I’m.

OK, so first of all, don't rush to answer the question, take a moment to make sure you understand what is being asked.

Secondly, the questions will be set up to try and make you answer "yes", so as an example; "yes but I can only do it...", so rather than doing this start all of your answers with "no", so "no, I can only do this...".
