But I'm worried If I appeal I'll end up having all sickness benefits taken off of me, as has happened to so many before me.

Also I'm sure the government aren't complete idiots and that they'll suspect that many claimants will be appealing partly because of the new 12 month CB rule and so I suspect that they're going to make it tougher and tougher to stay in the support group after the change over let alone get into it in the first place.

It's a nightmare really. I've only got about a week left before my time submitting an appeal would have expired and I'm still unsure what to do. I'm seeing my GP in the next couple of days, and see what she has to say.

Well I'm sure they can by taking all benefits off me and saying I should be on JSA or something.

I feel very lucky to be passed without a medical, but now I'm suspecting that they might have done so as on paper at least I look like I could qualify for support group, and they've thought she'll be so grateful to pass that she won't question it.

Do not be afraid, I have nothing to fear because I have nothing to hide, I am and will alway's be a sick man and because of this I will use all the evidence at my disposal to fight for what is my entitlement. How many sick folk are being forced to grip their cap in hand and be gratefull for nothing, I served in the falklands invasion and desert storm and I am only asking for help from the folk I gave my life in sevice to,if you are sure do not give in.

I was placed in WRAG without a medical, it only took them 3 or 4 working days to decide this, despite having over 40 pages of evidence to read through (plus the esa form) my wife is fuming, I have letters from doctor/specialist/nurse stating various things that should have put me in the support group under 4 different descriptors. I think as previously stated that ATOS/DWP think we should all be gratefull just to accept this. But as my wife says if I have to lose ESA after 12 months I have nothing to lose in appealing. (I have had 3 DWP medicals in the last few years all stating I cannot walk 50 yrds)

Hi,

Please be aware, with regard to your last sentence, "I cannot walk 50 yards".

The moving around descriptor, mobilising, now includes the use of a manual wheelchair unaided, not just walking.

If you have any doubts look at the ESA guides, ESA claims on physical health grounds from the link below. :

cheers.
