Well had my PIP F2F assessment and must say it wasnt as bad as I expected(whether thats good or bad is anyones guess) and,I know they are different but certainly not as intense as ESA assessments. What I will say is my assessment came actoss as very matter of factish.

Now,I was under the impression although I may well be wrong, that the assessor should or would have read all my supporting evidence, photos etc pre my assessment which was clearly not the case and became quite apparent not long after the assessment began that he had no knowledge of my medical background and when I asked if he had received all my supporting evidence he replied yes, looked at his PC and he said yes I see there are 20 pages,I will read them after.

I found this strange, confusing and concerning that he would read supporting evidence after an assessment and not before

Should I be concerned?

Now in the lap of the gods

One final question and one thats been asked a thousand times but how long is it before you can request the assessment report? It says in the booklet you can only request a copy once DWP writes to yiu with their decision but sure I,ve read on the forum it can be done before that

Ps

Thanks for that Bis.I was asked some strange and personal questions

I can't remember which way around it is but one Assessment Provider has told their staff to read the form and evidence before the assessment and the other has said to do it afterwards.

As to whether you should be concerned or not, I don't think you can read too much into the assessment, we have seen the worst face to face result in the highest award and the best result in no award at all.

You should be able to request a copy of the assessment report next week by contacting the DWP office dealing with your claim.

Recieved my Consultation Report Form from my assessment and after reading it find it a fairly fair analysis. I,m aware this is not the final decision but it would appear that the HP has awarded me 6 points on the care side which I wasnt claiming and means nothing in monetary terms anyway. and 10 points on mobility side which would mean standard rate as opposed to the higher rate I was receiving on DLA.With the change in criteria from DLA to enhanced PIP I,d be moderately comfortable with that award

However, what i,m not comfortable with is,the review time which is 1 year 6 month..Just put my pen down and it,ll need to come back out again. The HP has put something in the justification review period box that was never said and wrong and in the next question “It is likely that the functional restriction identified in this report will be present at the recommended point of review”. HP has said Yes!...Sounds a bit contradictory and if thats the case why review at that time?

If this is the final decision made by DWP can I place a MR on the review time only and not on the award of standard rate?

The length of the award is part of the Decision for PIP so can be challenged by an MR and appeal, we haven't seen huge success where the just the length of the award is being looked at so you should also consider whether you want to go on to appeal.

Remember the length of the award is supposed to reflect the claimant's conditions changing for the better and for the worse.

Problem is that at the F2F you will sit for longer than you normally due and through quite a lot of pain just to get through the interview.
Ours lasted 36 minutes which is 6 minutes more than they look for hence the coranation program question althought it could be any 30 minute saop!
