Following threats of legal action by Atos, the US hosts of the Carer Watch forum have closed it down permanently.

This is the third site that Atos have succeeded in closing in recent months as criticism of the company begins to grow in the mainstream press and amongst some MPs. Whilst the two other sites were possibly on the extreme side in their attacks on Atos, it is perhaps more surprising that Carer Watch have also fallen victim, given the large amount of mainstream work they do with MPs and disability charities.

The forum hosts have declined to give details of what was in the letter from Atos lawyers, but clearly it was sufficient to make them decide to pull the plug without any forewarning.

The main Carer Watch site is still online.
