No fewer than 12 doctors carrying out work capability assessments –​ the medical test for employment and support allowance –​ are being investigated for misconduct by the General Medical Council, according to a report in the Guardian.

Seven of the doctors have been under investigation since last year, with the other five having been the subject of complaints this year.
