It's been a while since we published any feedback from members, so here's a brief selection.  As always, the names have been changed.

Smiling man“one of my best investments ever”
I would like to thank Benefits and Work for their website and benefit guides.  After subscribing to your site, downloading the DLA claim guide and after studiously referring to the guide I submitted my first DLA claim with much trepidation.

Last week I received great news.  I had been awarded the higher rate mobility allowance and the minimum care component for the next 3 years.

My subscription fee rates as one of my best investments ever.

Many thanks to you and your site.
Derek

“This was all thanks to your website”
In May had I my IB stopped after a medical by the DWP/Medical Services. I subsequently made an appeal. Today I had my appeal hearing. The hearing was stopped after 15 minutes and my IB was reinstated.

This was all thanks to your website, guides and the advice they contained, it allowed us to prepare a cast iron case. Based on the evidence we presented the Tribunal said the case should never have got that far.

Once again thank you, we could not have done it without you, we will forever be grateful to you.

“never again have to fill in those blasted forms”
I completed my DLA Claim Form with the help of your Guide, which I used question by question, and found extremely helpful.

Five minutes ago I received a letter dated 22nd August telling me that I had again received an award of the Highest Rate for mobility and care but guess what - this time it's for an Indefinite Period which hopefully means that at the age of 64 I will never again have to fill in those blasted forms, nor have a doctor here to examine me, which is dreadfully demeaning.

I am so, so grateful to you. I even did as you said and printed out a form telling my gp which disabilities and treatments I have, took it to him and asked him to enter it on my DLA form as I had written it.  As expected, he wrote his own version of this, and left out half of what I'd asked him to write, including the fact that my spine is fused which renders me immobile from the waist down.  But at least what he did write seems to have worked, and is much better than the rubbish he usually enters on my form!  So that information was invaluable to me.

I would just like to say thank you once again for your help, it was certainly the best £18.95 I have ever spent, and worth every penny!

“Can't thank you enough”
I just want to say a big thanks to you and your team, and the site.

I used your info, along with a local ME support group advisor, and I've been awarded HR mobility and LR care indefinitely.

Up until now I'd been getting LR care, and that was after a struggle, and appeal and tribunal.

Can't thank you enough, there were thing in there that hadn't even occurred to me to put originally, things I guess that to me had become every day life.

“your amazing guide”
Last time I applied I only won the benefit on appeal and it was an incredibly stressful and upsetting process.  With the use of your amazing guide, this time I was awarded DLA without appeal or medical and I even was awarded a higher rate!

I therefore wanted to let you know of my success and to thank you for your very informative and empowering website.

“Your advice on filling out questionnaires and attending medicals has been brilliant.”
I had to let you know how your website has helped me over the last few years.  Your advice on filling out questionnaires and attending medicals has been brilliant.  This year along came the questionnaire as usual.  I have a variety of complaints including mental health so I printed out your sheets dealing with the mental health points and filled out the form very carefully.

On the day before I went on holiday along came the horrible brown envelope but I found that they are not reviewing my case until Aug 2013, by which date I will be 60 anyway and one of my pensions will have started.  Usually they pester me every year!

Thanks to you my holiday was extra enjoyable.

“Couldn't have done it without you”
My son, Paul, has just been told that he has been awarded the DLA for the next 5 years. This is the first time in the last 14 years that he has had an award without having to appeal, and often appeal again as well as go through medicals etc etc. And never for more than 2 years at a time. Does this mean that the Agency accepts M.E. as a neurological disease?

Praise the Lord, it gives Paul time to move on. Thank you for your help. Couldn't have done it without you.
Hilary
