Hi guys

Whilst PIP is an automatic qualifying benefit for the blue badge, subject to the claimant being awarded an Enhanced Mobility award or scoring 8 points or more for the "moving around" Descriptor, the test administer by Local Authorities for non-automatic Blue Badge awards is not based on the PIP criteria, it has it's own criteria as outlined in the document I link to in a previous post.

So the reference to a distance of 20m or less is incorrect.

Please not that automatic qualification via a DLA Higher Rate Mobility award remains in place.

No, being "severely sight impaired" is still an automatic qualification criteria, you will need a Certificate of Vision Impairment (CVI) or a BD8 form.
