Thank you Jim, I have been ringing around this morning and can't get anywhere. DIAL said they don't have anyone to help anymore and said that they send people to a solicitor. I can't get through to CAB but am still trying. I don't mind paying for a solicitor If I thought it would help her. Don't know what else to do.

If you do use a solicitor then it is essential that you confirm that they experience with benefit claims, it is a unique area of the law which most solicitors have no knowledge of, a bad Representative can sometimes be worse than no Representative at all.

Hi, I have exhausted all avenues as far as CAB and DIAL are concerned ans am now looking into a solicitor that claims to specialist in welfare benefits. It was mentioned by one charity that maybe I should look into Civil Legal Advice. Anyone know anything about them?

They are referred to on the Gov UK site
