cant remember now might have been where do i go with this MP? I asked about making a complaint and was given the name and address of Noel Shanahan DWP operations. Is there anything you can direct me to to quote at PIP? I would be grateful.
I've already told them that CAB say their wrong and your site and a couple of other sites not getting anywhere with them.

Hi tb,

See Gordon's previous post, which seems to have crossed your response to me :

Hi Teabag and mods.
I believe Gordon and Bro are correct in their interpretation of your DLA to PIP change.
(they usually are)!
In my case, currently transferring to PIP from DLA, my DLA stopped on 01/07/14 and my PIP started 02/07/14 (28 days after the decision).
As predicted by the very helpful DWP adviser I spoke to I had a full 4 weekly DLA payment on 24/06/14 and a single week DLA payment on 01/07/14.
By their calculation I should receive my first 4 weekly PIP payment on 28/07/14 (I am not unduly worried that this will not occur) but only time will tell!

I hope this has set your mind at rest somewhat!
Times of great change are always concerning but as I have said before people who are truthful and honest have little to fear or lose from this necessary process!

Steve.

So i'm right then you dont get PIP or severe disability for 8 weeks from the date of the day the decision was made letter so we lose out on money. discrimination i say.

I don't think that is what anybody has said, either you will receive a PIP payment four weeks after your last DLA payment or if it is later then you should receive a DLA part payment to cover the extra time.

There is no intention in the PIP legislation for there to be an extended period of time between your DLA payments ending and your PIP payments starting.

Anon 1955 can you remember what the date the letter was written saying they had made a decision was this 4 weeks before the date they gave you that PIP was starting from and then you had to wait another 4 weeks before you got a PIP payment therefore 8 weeks from the date of the decision.
So therefore you dont get paid PIP 4 weeks from the date of the decision you get paid 8 PiP 8 weeks from the date of the decision.
Personally I wish I had never gone through with the appeal in january 2014 as advised as I would have had a nice backpay payments of SDP and PIP from july 2013
