He was a little vague but basically said I probably wouldn't receive anything for a year or two and to try not to worry!
So it seems your information regarding backlogs is quite correct.
I am glad I made the phone call now.
Thanks

Could I just ask in light of micksville posts on this thread regarding claimants with mental health problems possibly still being called for reasessment are you in the mental health catigory? I'm asking because I am and wondered if your good news could also apply to me. I am also in the support group like you.
Many thanks.
Hi j112009,
I am sorry, but we cannot confirm who may or may not have their reassessment deferred.
To try and do so would be pure speculation which is not really helpful to anyone !

The only way to find out is to ring The ESA Call Centre :
THE ESA PHONE NUMBER DWP : 0345 608 8545 Press Option 3 for ESA. (Open 8AM-6PM. Mon-Fri.)
Someone could ring on your behalf as long as you are present to initially give your permission and answer a couple of security questions, which are usually your marital status, NI Number, DOB etc.
Just to reiterate, The Call Responders who answer the calls do not have the executive powers to instigate a re-assessment before the recommended date on your file.

Thank you.
Write to the office that last corresponded with you.
