ESA renewed no ESA50 no WCA

Hi, having read the other posts and because I was wondering why I hadn't had a reassessment form (which was due Dec 2014) I bit the bullet I phoned DWP just now. I am in the support group.

He was a little vague but basically said I probably wouldn't receive anything for a year or two and to try not to worry!

So it seems your information regarding backlogs is quite correct.

I am glad I made the phone call now.

I Phoned yesterday 22/04/2015 was told my renewal was due in November this year, l have mental health and physical problems placed in support group three years ago. When l was placed in support group as for form ESA85A prognosis Dr advised that a return to work unlikely in the longer term. So early days things my change

Jasmine3234 well done for daring to ring DWP. I was due for reassessment this month and haven't heard anything either. Could I just ask in light of micksville posts on this thread regarding claimants with mental health problems possibly still being called for reasessment are you in the mental health catigory? I'm asking because I am and wondered if your good news could also apply to me. I am also in the support group like you.

I am sorry, but we cannot confirm who may or may not have their reassessment deferred.

To try and do so would be pure speculation which is not really helpful to anyone !

The only way to find out is to ring The ESA Call Centre :

THE ESA PHONE NUMBER DWP : 0345 608 8545 Press Option 3 for ESA. (Open 8AM-6PM. Mon-Fri.)

Someone could ring on your behalf as long as you are present to initially give your permission and answer a couple of security questions, which are usually your marital status, NI Number, DOB etc.

Just to reiterate, The Call Responders who answer the calls do not have the executive powers to instigate a re-assessment before the recommended date on your file.

Thanks bro58. Is there anywhere on here that I can find out which dwp office or Benefit Delivery centre deals with my area as 2 years ago I got letters from one office but the latest ( asking about an occ pension) came from another.
