Yes, I would send a letter now saying that you hope to be able to send the extra information after you have seen your Consultant on the 9th, that way you have you'll have some form of comeback if they don't wait!

My friend said in his request for a MR that he would be sending further information but they didn't wait and made a decision in about two weeks, so be aware they may not be prepared to wait, even if you specifically ask them to.

Gordon I had a call back from dwp on Thursday the lady I spoke too could not provide me with the profession of the capita assessor she said she didn't have the information
wich I think is untrue she said that capita should give me the information [yet another brick wall] and during the conversation I also asked again about the MR and me sending the extra information and what was the date I needed to send it by she said there is no dead line for the information to be sent because they received my request in writing it wouldn't be looked at until they have received it [ this is the second time I have been told this] she went on to say she would make a note on my file to say ive got an appointment on the 9/6/15 with a specialist and it will take a few days for me to get the extra information and that the MR should not be done until then so I took your advice and sent a letter yesterday by recorded delivery noting what was said in this conversation and also the conversation I had with the DM on the 21/5/15 where she stated the MR would not take place until all the extra information has been received and put it for the attention of the decision maker so fingers crossed they will stick to their word
