Do you know if the Nursing and Midwifery Council has been investigating the behaviour of any HCPs in assessments or the poor quality of their reports?

Do you know if anyone has put in an FOI request to them about this?

Perhaps Maximus would have difficulty recruiting staff despite the high salary if nurses were losing their registered status as well as their integrity.

We don't know.
I don't think the registration status is a problem as the nurses are not practising and the Maximus job does not require it.

I believe the nurses have to be registered in order to be employed by Maximus so claimants could complain.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

From Maximus website recruitment of doctors, nurses, physios and OTs to become Functional Assessors.

We’ll expect you to have proven, recent, post-qualification experience and be registered with a relevant professional body. But your credentials and qualifications are just the start of what we’re seeking.

I don't know if the NMC are the only relevant professional body but I don't think they are.

I think DWP Regs. require HCP.'s to have a current registration in their profession and with at least two years post registration experience.

We have made a formal complaint to NMC when HCP a RN gave nil points awhen tribunal later awarded support group for ESA.

I have also put a foi request concerning number of complaints to NMC about RN's,, RMN's and RNLD's registered with NMC carrying out DWP assessments., still awaiting reply
