Finally we have had my husbands appeal. We received an appointment at short notice for a cancellation but we were prepared.
The appeal did not go well and they seemed to be struggling to find questions to ask.
The decision letter arrived today and we were unsuccessful.
The one positive point was that they agreed the original HP report was a waste of time as there was no face to face assessment.
After 18 years of higher rate mobility DLA only 4 points awarded for pip. He has deteriorated considerably over this time but apparently does not require the assistance .
The original care award of 10 points stands but this should have been more.
The whole process has been draining and without all your help we couldn't have even considered the process and we can't thank you all enough.
Reassessment is scheduled for about 2 1/2 years time. They will probably have changed the process again by then!

Sorry to hear that you were unsuccessful, receiving a Mobility award is becoming increasingly difficult especially if the claimant has primarily mental health issues, unfortunately it is not something that is going to be sorted in the short term, if indeed it ever is.
