Thank you very much Gordon you have made it clear now, so does that mean I will get extra money ontop of my esa if I am lucky to get it. Thought could only get extra if in support group thanks.

I can't say for certain, it will depend on what group you are put in for ESA and what your DLA award is, have a look at the following;

I will probably end up in the wrag if I'm successful as I suffer from fits, so not much in the way of descriptors apply to me, and I am on middle rate personal care and lower rate for getting around which I think is called lower rate mobility.

Hi b72,

Although you may not qualify for payment of The Enhanced Disability Premium (EDP) if you are placed into The WRAG, if you have a Middle Rate DLA Care Award, live alone (there are exceptions to this rule) and no one else is getting Carer's Allowance (CA) for looking after you, you may still qualify for payment of The Severe Disability Premium (SDP) as an IR ESA top-up to your CB ESA payments.

The SDP is currently £61.85/Week for a single claim and £123.70/Week for a couple :

Benefit Rates 2015/16

As you will be transferring to ESA from SDA, you may find the following FAQ's helpful :

Hi b72,

Simply because The DWP decided that all SDA recipients would be paid CB ESA if successfully transferred to ESA.

As advised, you may also be entitled to IR ESA top-ups to your CB ESA payments.
