Please can you clarify what level hearing you are talking about.

Has your wife had a Mandatory Reconsideration?
Has she had a lower level appeal?

appeal tribunal had reconsideration just havent got anybody to represent her yet thanks steve

Hi,

I believe that SW is refering to an appeal to The First Tier Tribunal. (FTT)

Sometimes Local Council have Welfare Rights Dept, or their is : Age UK for over 50's.

Where to get advice

You may also have a local DIAL !

Failing the above, try putting Welfare Rights/Advice for your Town/Postcode into Google.

cant find anybody to be an advocate can i send sscs1 form back with the word advocate and get one nearer the tribunal so frustrated got a good case if i used this site before hand wouldnt have to go through all this only other option is papers if so do i have to send evidence now or can i send more over the coming weeks thanks steve

Yes, since the Government withdrew Legal Aid for FTT representation it can be very difficult to obtain it.

Many, many of our members successfully represent themselves.

Yes, you can make a note in The SSCS 1 Form that you are trying to obtain professional advice and will forward contact details to them if/when you secure the services of an Advisor.

Ensure that you post The SSCS 1 and copy of The MR Notice to arrive at The Tribunal Service no later than one month from the date of The MR Notice.

You can safely submit further evidence/submissions to The TS right up until 10-14 days before the hearing date.
