Yes I am in the process of preparing my submission although I did send some evidence with the actual appeal form. I am trying to send as much evidence as I can with all that I have and I can get.

Gordon, could you please tell me what the procedure is when all the information has been sent to the Tribunal?

Do the DWP analyse my submissions before they submit theirs? (as it says in the letter the DWP will prepare a written response to my appeal.) Or will they respond just going with what is in the HP's report?

Many Thanks for your reply PF x

The DWP will now prepare their submission, you will receive a copy of this and then you have three weeks from the date on the letter accompanying the DWP bundle to prepare yours submit it to the Tribunal Service

Hi,

By way of an update all submissions have been prepared and sent off and both sides have all the copies relating to my appeal.

I am just now in the process of waiting for my paper appeal to take place. I won't know the date when this will be as I have been told it is usual for claimants not to be notified in advance of the appeal date for paper hearings. I spoke to a lady at the appeals centre when I rang about this and she said they don't even know themselves when the date will be

So it is just another waiting game  my Fibro, chronic fatigue, stress, depression and anxiety are at their maximum levels and I have not coped very well the last few months because of this. I am sick of dealing with bundles of paperwork for the last 7 months. I just want a conclusion.

:( Very sorry for ranting on here and I know there are so many other people on here who are also in the same boat but the last few months have been rather exhausting..

Paper hearings are held in any gaps that a Tribunal panel have in their normal schedule, they often won't know until the day whether a particular case will be heard or not.

Hi All..

It has been rather a long time since I have updated my posts on here but I think this has been for two reasons mainly..one because I have been waiting for a definitive date for my hearing and there hasn't been much to update in between and the other because of my multitude of symptoms which leaves me totally exhausted to even turn the computer on :(

Since submitting my last post I chose to opt for a paper hearing some while ago but after receiving the hearing bundle pack and a letter from the Tribunal service to say that it would be more beneficial if I attended the hearing in person so they can ask me questions about my condition.

So after much thought I have decided to attend although I am struggling due to the chronic pain and fatigue which is rather exhausting to cope with and I have been like this for such a long time.

My hearing will take place this month and I just wanted to ask if it is too late for me to submit further information to the tribunal so late in the day leading up to the hearing?

I received another 2 letters from my consultant this week and I just want to send them to the tribunal as further supporting evidence. Or can I take them with me on the day?

many thanks for any advice

You can submit additional evidence up to 7 days before the hearing, send it to the TS and don't forget to include the reference number for your appeal.

Please be aware, unless your Consultant has explicitly stated that the contents apply to the date of the Decision that you are appealing, then there is a chance that the panel will exclude the letters as applying to how you are now and not how you were.

Hi Gordon,

Thank you for your above advice. :)

Well, I went to my appeal today and was very anxious before arriving. Didn't get much sleep last night and I don't sleep anyway

After arriving I was asked by a clerk if I wanted to submit anymore evidence before I was summoned to go in...I said yes please -I do have more but I said the paper work related to my medical history over the past few years and wasn't sure if the panel of three would still accept them :(

However, the nice clerk said he would still take them and copy them and give them in. After about 15 /20 minutes he came back and said it wont be long now before I will be called in as the panel are now reading the extra evidence as we speak..

By this time I was shuddering convulsively with anxiety like a pneumatic drill

My lovely daughter advised me to calm down -easier said than done!

After being called in and seeing a panel of three I took a quick 'gulp' and sat down before the questioning started. I clearly had visions of walking into a very dark room with either a bright light or spotlight shining in my eyes during the 'interrogation'.

Anyway, after being in the hearing room for about an hour it was all over and after the panel said I had the option of either going home and waiting for the decision or waiting there.

Understandably, I patiently waited.

I think after about 30 minutes, the clerk handed me the decision....success for the standard daily living until 2018. No mobility.

I was quite relieved to be honest and happy with the result. It has been a very long journey the last few months.

But as I have already read on here about previous successes not to jump the gun just yet until the decision has gone through.

I just want to say a big thank you so far for all the help I have had on here.

I will keep you updated as I go along...
