Sending additional information to DWP

It usually takes around 8 weeks for DWP to get things sorted and put the award into effect. The backpay often hits your bank account before you hear anything else! We will save the 'heart' symbol until you are absolutely sure of the award.

Thank you very much Mrs Hurtyback

It is so nice to know there has been a satisfactory conclusion - well,I think for now anyway!
The sheer amount of paperwork involved to pursue my claim the last 9 months is nobody's business!

I am sure there are a few trees missing in the woods somewhere!

I look forward to receiving the 'heart'

Hi Mrs HB

I have just had a phone call from the DWP...to confirm if my bank details are correct and I will also receive a letter in the next 10 days regarding the details of my pip award.
This sounds very promising.
Just so you know I scored a total of 11 points for the standard daily living and 4 points for mobility.
I won't deny that I was fairly disappointed with not scoring more points with regards to the standard mobility element but I am happy for now...
I will update when I receive the letter!

By way of update as promised, I have now received my letter regarding being awarded standard daily living for the next 2 years

And I have also been paid the backdated amount which goes back to after the 3 months I submitted the PIP2 which was in November 2015.( In other words my backdate starts from February 2016)
I wanted to let other claimants know about this because I am sure there are some who may think (including me!) they will be backdated from when the initial phone call is made or from the date you sign or submit your PIP2.
Just want to also say a big thank you to Mrs HB, Gordon, Bro and Shelam and all the other members for this fantastic website. If it wasn't for all of you and this site there is no doubt in my mind that I wouldn't have known what next step to take after my MR failed..So thank you once again

I hope I haven't made you all blush

I will still be hanging around on this site as the information is always being updated as it comes in and it is always good to know you are always here to help.
Kind Regards PF x

Thanks for the update and for your very kind words about B+W

For claimants transferring from DLA, the PIP decision always comes into effect 1 month after the date the decision was made. DLA runs on til this date.
