Universal Credit was created by intrested
Sorry if I should not come in on this topic , my son was turned down for esa and his mandentry reconsideration, they now say his has to claim u credit but I thought it had not been brought in we live in the ts6 area. Thank you

I've moved your post to it's own topic, we ask member not to post questions into other member's topics to avoid confusion and the wrong advice being given/taken.

Although your postcode is live for Universal Credit it is not fully live and there are gateway restrictions that may prevent your son claiming UC.

You say that he failed his ESA assessment and an Mandatory Reconsideration? Do you have the MR Notices?

Does he intend to appeal? If he does then he should be able to claim ESA at the Assessment rate once his claim has been accepted and the DWP have been notified. He will need to present Fit Notes from the day after he was found Fit for Work.

If this is not his situation then please post additional information by replying to this post.

Thank you so much for your reply I have been unable to get back to you sooner as we been under pressure , my son is so confused by everything his doctor has put him forward for some council has he has been having thoughts abought doing some thing silly he not in a good place.we knew he can appeal but not even the job centre could help

Thank you once again he has to sign on tomorrow as he has not had any money since 28 may no office seems to know who has to pay him so he going to have word with job centre tomorrow he is in process of writing up his appeal , and he will have word with doctor about sick note .thank you once again for help .
