ESA/PIP Assessments

ps just to make clear i haven't actually had to go through a WCA yet because the last two times i was summoned i became so ill my doctor and mp intervened on my behalf so i was put in the Support Group without having a face to face assessment.The three face to face assessments i have had were under old IB regime.

DWP/assessor's are supposed to take into account all information provided - although it is up to them to decide how much 'weight' to give each thing.

Certainly send in letters from people who know you well. It will be most helpful if these refer to the descriptors in some way.

Our attitude is that, at best, this might help. The worst that can happen is that DWP ignore your information

I was wondering if anyone knew whether the DLA to PIP assessments are running on time in the London area ?.And what the time frame is for the migration to be completed ?

I know people are selectedl randomly but i don't know how many people are involved and how long the migration will take.

Like many others i suspect my heart jumps a beat every time the post arrives so i was hopng someone could give me an idea of how long i could be waiting before i get the dreaded brown envelope..

I'm sorry to keep banging on about this but i'm getting really stressed out about getting up to date medical evidence for when i'm summoned for my reassessment for ESA and for PIP when i'm migrated from DLA.

I paid £50 to get my medical records and i've got medical evidence about my condition and how it affects me up to 2012 but nothing since.For whilst i'm still on a lot of medication i just haven't connected with my new gp who took over from my extremely supportive one who retired.

She's now the senior partner in the practice and she firmly believes the DWP will contact her for any info and when i've tried to tell her that doesn't often happen she refuses to accept it.She also told me that for every genuine clamant there are 10 who should be working which tells me that she's somewhat out of touch.And when i tried to stress how much i need her help and support she told me that she wasn't responsible for benefits.However when i became really distressed she said she'd write a letter for the DWP but only if they didn't contact her first.And she came across as being pretty resentful about doing it.

I'm feeling really vulnerable because i'm someone who has long term and extremely disabling health problems and who's pretty isoalted.And if i lose my benefits i know my life won't be worth living .I've told my gp that if i lose my esa and don't qualify for pip i will try and kill myself.But she still doesn't get how desperate i am.And i'm not sure what more i can do.
