Dla to pip was created by beth
Recently changed from DLA to PIP
Was on lower rate living allowance and high mobility....support group

Now standard rate living allowance...no mobility...(4 points mobility.)..

My friend came to assessment .
1st Decision maker said as i had no cognitive or sensory problems...i can plan a route and follow journey and as i used taxis...(never used taxis? Never mentioned)
..but i cant go out without someone else as i cant walk without stick and support...and suffer anxiety....i said on good day i can walk 50 to 200 metres...but in pain constantly...pain on bad day 8...other days averages between 4 and 8.....
I told the assesser i tried to drive my friends car to gain a little confidence just up road to drop another friend (i dont have a car as not been able to drive for years due to a fall and torn rotor cuff in shoulder and arthritis) i said i only did this twice and hurt my joints....so not sucessful

I did reconsideration...explained never used taxis and taxis not mentioned at assessment..(letter from friend confirming taxi never used ot mentioned)...also included letter from dr saying i have multi joint arthritis and find it hard to go out due to anxiety and reason i dont take medication for depression..
I cant use public transport or go out alone due to mobility and anxiety

Decision 2
As i dont take medication for depression or anxiety and havent had therapy for many years she feels i can plan and follow a route and how i engaged with assesser and findings of my mental state and musculoskeletol examination (it consisted of stand on left leg..cant lift right. lift left arm couldnt do right...finger tip touch..squeeze her finger...partial knee bend.)
I cannon consider help you need not covered by living allowance...inc.ability to work ...shopping..stairs...blue badge..mobility scheme...use of taxis or bublic transport walking on level or sloping or uneven surfafaces...

I am now waiting for tests in both hands for carpul tunnel...have chronic arthritis in both hands
Back to consultant for right hip for injection for arthritis...anxiety still trying to sort as due to being astmatic i cant have certain meds...
So anxious and stressed dont know whether to appeal...lost 2 stone since getting 1st letter in june

Any suggestions

I have moved your post to it's own topic, we ask members not to post in other's topics as it can lead to the wrong advice being given or taken.

If you are to appeal then you need to consider where you can score the points for an award.

You've rated yourself as scoring 4 points for the Moving Around Activity.

You mention "anxiety" but the legal requirement for the Going Out activity is "overwhelming psychological distress".

I would suggest you have another look at the PIP Claim guide for the Mobility activities and the use of "reliably" and "on the majority of days".

If you decide to go ahead with an appeal then have a look at the PIP MR & Appeal guide which has links to the SSCS1 form that you will need to complete and instructions on how to complete it.

I cant go out without walking crutch and support ...i hold my friends arm...as my leg gives way...
So feel i should have got more....she failed to add the support part...i cant walk 20 meters without
Also i suffer terrible anxiety just going to dr...but im ok when i get there....
I feel i cant follow a journey...as i cant go out unacompanied...i live alone

The Going Out activity only considers mental health, cognitive or sensory issues that limit the claimants ability to leave the house and follow a route, physical issues will not be considered for this activity.

Although you talk about "terrible anxiety" can I again draw your attention to the legal requirement which is "overwhelming psychological distress". Do you receive treatment for your anxiety?

Im confused...your saying that mobility componant is only based on mental health... not mobility

Im saying i cant walk on my own ....only with stick (crutch as i have bad hands and it has elbow support) and support from another person...

I also have mental health issues....

Maybe im not explaining it well...
