It used to be the case that you assume when you apply for ESA or PIP that they don't share information.

Is that still the same? Thanks.

I'm wondering as not sure whether to sed PIP award details to ESA review as some things do overlap.

There's nothing preventing the PIP and ESA departments sharing reports although there are limited areas of overlap, we do see it reported on the forum occasionally but only in a positive sense.

Im not suggesting it is the same for everyone, but in my case they HAVE shared the information between departments. I only found this out by taking my pip claim to a tribunal where the courts have to supply you with all the evidence that the DWP present to them, and with me it was my previous DLA assessment and ESA assessment.

I had a pip interview got standard rate for both groups then later was sent for ESA interview both dates where cancelled and 5 weeks later taking Christmas into account I was put into support group with out a interview do they must read the pip reports. Any new Infomation I sent in via the job centre quicker and on the system with in days.

This is not something we normally recommend. I will ask Gordon for his opinion.

This is fine providing you can get an appointment at your local JC+ where they can scan and email the information to the relevant DWP department, this is usually OK for Fit Notes and short documents, but they are unlikely to accept longer documents and this will not work for claim forms as these must be sent to the required address.
