ESA reassessments for ESA support group claimants was created by Jenny
Please can anyone give advice as to the best way to approach a reassessment of an ESA claim which is coming up for renewal. Will the process be essentially as if it were a new claim and therefore all the advice on your website should be followed all over again. It is made more difficult by virtue that it is a mental health long term illness which has only recently been given a diagnosis of 'emotional unstable personality disorder

Yes, all ESA assessments should be treated as if it is a new claim although you can used evidence from your previous award as long as you can show it is still relevant, the exception to this is if you qualified under the Substantial Risk Regulations where you must provide current evidence that you are effected in this way.
Please use the latest ESA Claim guides as there have been changes to the DWP guidance over the last year or so.
If you have more questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.
