Marcus

Do you know how you previously qualified for the Support Group?

If you qualified under the Substantial Risk rules then the DWP guidance for this has been revised in the last year of so and it is now more difficult to meet the criteria.

You really need to tie your MR letter to the criteria you are trying to meet.

There is still an opportunity for you to send further evidence or testimony but you will need to do so quickly if it is to be included in the MR Decision.

i sent them every thing to do with my conditions in the ESA50 including letters from specialists and doctors etc.. i actually thought ahead and pay full price for my medical file from the day i was born to present date i even try'd to obtain MRI scans but was unsuccessful they have everything they need or could need to confirm what i have told them is true . they just have to read it and understand it so to speak but i know they don't really bother with that they just go on what their HP tell them and then decide.and took along recent patient summery for medications im on etc.. so their is no other evidence other then if they was to contact my GP who said he would write a letter regarding my conditions .i suppose i just have to wait and see the out come of it all they will prob say no and give me nothing as the report say i am able to work in 3 months according to the nurse then make me go on UC or something like that why i appeal .i will kaep you all posted on my wonky crazy journey and thanks for your support

The ESA Appeal guide has links to the SSCS1 form that you will need to complete and the Submissions guide has a complete example that you can use to help you fill it in, you do not need to provide detailed reasons at this stage for your request.

Once your appeal is accepted the DWP will prepare their submission to the hearing and send you a copy, whilst you should wait until you receive this to finish and submit your own, you should start to prepare your own case, an increased award will only be made by your showing that you score the extra points for one, so I would start by going back through your ESA50, the assessment report and the ESA Claim guides to see how you might show this is the case.

You can opt for a Paper hearing that you do not have to attend although statistically you will be more likely to be successful at an Oral hearing that you do attend.
