So she will be getting the Carer allowance from the 25th March but just unsure why she is unable to get the Carer allowance now and has to wait till then? So I’ll be getting Carer premium backdated from last week? Will I have to ring esa to tell them? Or do they already know about this? Thank you

It is likely due to your ESA payments dates, ESA is paid two weekly in arrears.

The rule is, if in doubt, call the DWP.
