Hello
I come here like many others tired and exhausted for having to deal with a benefits reassessment.
I've now managed to get to the point in which a home visit has been granted for the face to face assessment. Getting here wasn't easy but I won't confuse things with that tale.
So my claim relates to mental health issues and I've recently been given my appointment details; it's in a couple of weeks time. I have searched the health care professional's name and it would appear I'm to be assessed for mental health issues by a physical therapist.
Is it right that they can do that? Use someone not qualified in the field relating to your claim? I just feel like I've been stitched up through this whole process and have been on the receiving end of some very underhand tactics and this is yet another one
In the past when I've been assessed at home they've sent a Dr.
Also they seem to be moving with my assessment at a blistering pace compared to last time. Like I haven't had time to find my feet or get used to what's happening.
I don't have a good memory and so I write things down in a diary; dates, times and names of who I'm dealing with etc. but I can't find any record of the types of things I'll be asked and now I'm panicking if he's going to try and give me a physical exam for mental health problems
Is there any help or general advice on the details of what happens at a home visit? What should I do? I feel so scared about it all.
