Just thought I would let you know but as dodgy as this letter seemed it was not a scam letter.
After 2 hours of ringing the job centre and speaking to different people they got him to ring me back and I rang the number again to make sure, anyway the number was genuine.
The compliance officer had diverted his calls to the leisure and sports centre which is owned by the DWP because he was away flying they said , why he did this I have no idea.
I finally got to talk to him and it was nothing to worry about and he did the interview there and then because I was so worried about it, which took 2 minutes.
He said that the computer just selects people at random for checks to see if they are still getting their benefits okay and they are who they say they are I suppose.
Anyway it was nothing to worry about in the end.
