PIP Mandatory reconsiderration advice was created by Stellio
It is almost a month since I sent in the form with new supporting evidence for a mandatory reconsideration of my PIP award. Royal Mail tracking shows it arrived at the DWP on 24th Oct. Is this timescale normal? I know that they are busy but I would have thought I'd have received an acknowledgement by now. Thanks.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Stellio
You won't receive an acknowledgment from the DWP. Mandatory reconsiderations are taking up to eight weeks to process (some longer). You can always ring and ask whether your MR is currently being worked on.

I'll just leave it for another few weeks and see what happens. I can't bear to call the DWP unless absolutely necessary. Appreciate the advice though.
